NJ-175 Colonial, 1 Shilling, March 25, 1776 - John Hart Signature, 19049, VF
NJ Colonial, 1 Shilling, March 25, 1776 - Signed by John Hart, New Jersey Signer of the Declaration of Independence, signed near the time of the signing of the Declaration.
This Very Fine example bears an excellent penned signature of Hart. The printing ink is also bold and the paper quality is excellent for the grade, although there is a small pinhole near the center of the note at the intersection of two folds. This issue was printed on paper that was watermarked "New Jersey".
An overall excellent example of a colonial financial instrument issued in the year of the birth of the United States of America bearing the signature of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
