A rare high denomination, Three Pound New Jersey Colonial note, dated February 20, 1776, bearing the signature of John Hart, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Graded Extremely Fine by PCGS, the Hart signature is bold and complete. There is some minor staining on the back, as noted on the certificate, that does not significantly detract from this important example of colonial currency. This is an uncommon note with only 31 examples reported to the census, including those with less notable signatures.
